The FA – Grassroots football digital consultation

As part of its national consultation to inform the 2024-2028 grassroots strategy, The FA sought to gather the views of tens of thousands of people from across the grassroots and non-professional game, including players, coaches, referees, volunteers, parents, supporters, and County FA, league and club officials.

We worked in close partnership with The FA to design and field an online survey that spanned a wide range of topics, including behaviours, facilities, cost of living and the future of youth football, in the most engaging format possible, with respondents able to tailor the questions they saw to give views on what was most relevant to them.

Results were delivered in a comprehensive report structured by topic, with key insights presented to senior staff across the grassroots game and used to inform The FA’s new four-year strategy. An additional 52 reports were provided so that each County Football Association had local level insights and direct feedback for their remit.
